Lack of Clean Water, Dompet Dhuafa Provides Water for Life for Joho Boyolali Residents

BOYOLALI, CENTRAL JAVA — On Thursday (5/9/2024), Dompet Dhuafa Central Java Branch distributed clean water to residents of Dukuh Joho, West Sambeng Village, Juwangi District, Boyolali Regency through the Water For Life Program. This action is part of Dompet Dhuafa’s commitment to community empowerment and concern for creating equal access to clean water for residents.

Dukuh Joho itself is inhabited by 25 households (KK) who live in RT 07 RW 02. They face the challenge of limited access to clean water, one of which is caused by the long dry season. Understanding the important role of clean water in daily human life, Dompet Dhuafa initiated the distribution of clean water to Dukuh Joho. In collaboration with Dai Pemberdaya at the location, Dompet Dhuafa central java distributed the Water for Life Program.

“We are very grateful for the clean water assistance from Dompet Dhuafa. Clean water is very meaningful for us to fulfill our daily needs, such as cooking, bathing, and washing,” said one of the residents of Dukuh Joho.

In this program, Dompet Dhuafa distributed one water tank with a capacity of 8,000 liters. This clean water is expected to meet the needs of Dukuh Joho residents within a certain period of time.

Spv of Social Services Program, Wahyu Setiawan, said, “The distribution of clean water is part of our commitment to provide access to the basic needs of the community, especially in areas that still have difficulty getting clean water. We hope that this program can provide significant benefits to the residents of Dukuh Joho”.
