EAST JAVA – Dompet Dhuafa together with Temon Palm Sugar and the Sustainable Forest Farmers Group officially launched the Temon Palm Sugar MSME Empowerment Program at the Dompet Dhuafa Empowerment House, Temon Village, Arjosari District, Pacitan Regency, on Friday (06/09/2024). This program aims to improve the welfare of more than 50 beneficiaries from among local palm sugar farmers.
Through this MSME Empowerment Program, Dompet Dhuafa hopes that the farmers there will not only get an increase in income, but also the skills needed to develop their business. In addition, the beneficiaries can also pass on aspects of empowerment to other farmers.
Udhi Tri Kurniawan as Deputy Director I of the Dompet Dhuafa Empowerment Program, hopes that this program can be an example of successful community empowerment and continue to grow to provide wider benefits.
“We hope that this program is not only seen from the aspect of sustainability, but also develops better and has a broad impact on society,” he said.
Meanwhile, Moch. Rizzqi Aladib as Branch Manager of Dompet Dhuafa East Java, said that he was very optimistic that with the support of various parties, this program would succeed in increasing the productivity and income of palm sugar farmers. He emphasized that this program can exist of course with the trust of donors who entrust their funds to Dompet Dhuafa.
“Hopefully the trust from these donors can be managed properly and be able to improve the economy of the surrounding community,” he said.

One of the representatives of Temon Palm Sugar, I Gusti Ayu Ngurah Megawati said she was proud of this collaboration. She believes that the Empowerment of Temon Gula Aren MSMEs will have a positive impact on the development of palm sugar MSMEs in Temon Village.
“Starting from a discussion forum, until it continues to this stage, I feel grateful and thankful to Dompet Dhuafa. I am sure this will be the pride of the village’s local MSMEs,” he said.
Even the Head of Temon Village, Jamiatin, welcomed this program while hoping to make Temon Village an independent village centered on quality palm sugar production. (Dompet Dhuafa)
