This activity occurred at Al Syukro Universal Islamic High School, South Tangerang, Banten, on Thursday (15/6/2023).
Various activities are presented at the commemoration of HANI this time. Starting with education with image media, educational presentations on the dangers of narcotics from BNN, drama stage competitions that tell the dangers of narcotics, and anti-narcotics snakes and ladders games.
“This activity, in addition to collaborating with BNN and Al Syukro, also involves volunteers from State Islamic University (UIN) and Pamulang University students. More than 50 students participated in today’s activity. We also try to present the type of education that is as interesting as possible so that students do not get bored and can absorb complete information about narcotics today,” said Meyta Winduka, Head of LKC Dompet Dhuafa Banten.
This activity also received a positive response from the school; Henrizal Saidi Harahap, the Principal of Al Syukro Islamic High School, said that this activity increased the students’ insight. So students can be aware again of the dangers of narcotics.
“We are delighted, of course, and proud that Al Syukro High School is involved in commemorating International Anti-Narcotics Day. The activity is exciting. In my opinion, many activities are two-way, involving students’ activeness to be directly involved in this education, such as snakes, ladders, and dramas,” said Henrizal.
Then, education related to the dangers of narcotics was given directly by Larry Yudawan from BNN Tangerang City. According to him, this education is essential to introduce the dangers of narcotics to students so that they are exposed to narcotics information and can protect themselves from them.
“We must be brave in taking concrete steps to fight drugs by stopping drugs, and we can protect and create a superior generation,” Larry explained.
The students who participated in this activity claimed to get a lot of information and know more about what narcotics are and what are dangerous for life.
“Narcotics can threaten our lives; through the education provided today, we have become more aware of narcotics. The education is also very interesting, exciting all the activities, starting from the presentation from BNN, earlier we also had a drama playing the dangers of narcotics, “said Afifah Nur Aini, one of the Al Syukro students who participated in today’s activity.
