In 2024, by utilizing a combination of zakat, infaq, and alms funds, LKC Dompet Dhuafa South Sulawesi has implemented three superior programs in Pangkep Regency, namely the Healthy Area Program, Healthy Post, and Midwives for the Country (BUN). Two of them, namely the Balang Lompo Island Healthy Area and Lamputang Healthy Post, have successfully become independent programs.
The empowerment model impressed and was noticed by the local health center. Until then, the model was replicated by the local Puskesmas together with the village and kelurahan governments, with health cadres as the spearhead.
This award is a clear proof of LKC Dompet Dhuafa South Sulawesi’s contribution in supporting sustainable public health development. Through synergy with various parties, LKC continues to be committed to realizing a healthy, independent and empowered society. (Dompet Dhuafa)
