MALAYSIA — The Human Development Institute (LPI) of Dompet Dhuafa dispatched two delegates to present its education programs at Southeast Asia International Philanthropy Conference (SEAIPC) 2023, held from November 7 to 9 in Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia. The delegates were Eko Sriyanto, Head of the Strategic Impact Development Division at LPI, and Pedri Haryadi, Supervisor of Data, Research, and Development at LPI.
At the symposium on Wednesday (11/8/2023) at The Hotel Waterfront Kuching, the LPI Dompet Dhuafa delegates presented research on “Impact Study of Dompet Dhuafa Beastudi Scholarship Program for Welfare Improvement” and “Sustainable Education Development (Assess The Impact of Schooling Programs).” These studies evaluated the impact of LPI Dompet Dhuafa’s education programs on the community.
“We initiated this research in 2021 with various strategic partners to ensure a comprehensive and representative assessment of our program’s impact, aiming to enhance service quality for our benefit recipients,” said Pedri.

According to IMZ, SEAIPC is an annual conference that brings together academics, researchers, industry experts, government officials, and concerned communities to discuss issues related to microfinance and Islamic philanthropy. Over time, SEAIPC has shifted its focus to emphasize the importance of philanthropy within the main economic scheme.
SEAIPC also aims to gather stakeholders involved in philanthropic activities to discuss various thoughts, ideas, and experiences across different sectors. Additionally, it presents findings and issues related to business and management perspectives, introduces sustainable aspects in philanthropic activities, opens new opportunities in global philanthropic activities, and provides a platform for organizations to showcase their products, innovations, and services in philanthropy.

“At SEAIPC 2023, LPI DD sent two representative presenters to discuss the impact studies of our scholarship education programs (Etos ID and BAKTI NUSA) and schooling (SGI, SLI, KOMED) under the theme of Societal Wellbeing.
