BOGOR — Dompet Dhuafa organized the Grand Opening of D’Barberhouse on Saturday (8/4/2023), at Samasta, Telaga Kahuripan, Parung, Bogor. The launch of this barbershop was marked by a ribbon cutting by Program Director of Dompet Dhuafa, Bambang Suherman and Director of Dompet Dhuafa Madina Zone, Udhi Tri Kurniawan.
In order to enliven the event, the first few customers were presented. They were orphans who were given a free haircut facility and Ramadan gifts by D’Barberhouse.
Udhi Tri Kurniawan said, D’Barberhouse is an actualization of upstream and downstream vocational programs or functional education which has been limited to trainings only.
“We also try to set up or initiate downstream of the trainees, that is, we set up this D’Barberhouse. So the best alumni of vocational training or functional education at Institut Kemandirian, we recruit them to be part of the team that handles D’Barberhouse,” he said.
D’Barberhouse’s efforts were actualized thanks to the collaboration between Zona Madina Dompet Dhuafa and Institut Kemandirian Dompet Dhuafa in rolling out a haircut training program. Since the registration and selection process began on January 25, 2023, then the first training on February 7, 2023, until undergoing a one-month internship process, it was recorded that the competency development of 20 trainees was getting better and more expert. So, the best participants will become the barber men or an experts team at D’Barberhouse.
