JAKARTA — Humanitarian donations for Palestine continue to flow amidst the increasingly brutal military aggression by Israeli Forces. One such contribution comes from the National PAI Supervisory Group (Pokjawas PAI). On Tuesday (14/11/2023), Pokjawas PAI delivered a humanitarian donation for Palestine to Dompet Dhuafa at the Philanthropy Building in South Jakarta.
The humanitarian donation was personally handed over by Dr. Ahmad Zaki, M.Pd,I, the Chairman of Pokjawas PAI, to Yudha Andilla, the Retail Fundraising Manager at Dompet Dhuafa.
Ahmad Zaki mentioned that the humanitarian donation channeled through Dompet Dhuafa amounted to IDR 77,357,000. He hopes that this donation can be promptly distributed to the people in need in Palestine.

The Chairman of Pokjawas PAI also revealed the reason for choosing Dompet Dhuafa as the partner for channeling kindness to Palestine. According to Zaki, Dompet Dhuafa is well-known as a trustworthy and proven institution in distributing social and humanitarian aid, both domestically and internationally.
“May the Palestinian people soon be freed from Israeli colonization and granted independence by Allah SWT. In addition, their spirit of struggle is highly commendable in defending the sovereignty of their nation,” he expressed his hope.
Yudha Andilla warmly welcomed this donation. According to him, this humanitarian donation is a concrete form of Pokjawas PAI’s concern for the situation of the Palestinian people who have been facing ongoing military aggression for over 60 days.

“The donation will be used to help meet the essential needs of the Gaza community, such as food, medicines, medical equipment, baby supplies, mattresses, blankets, fuel, and other necessities,” he explained.
Currently, the Dompet Dhuafa Humanitarian Team has arrived at the Rafah border in Egypt. The humanitarian team has been deployed to ensure and oversee the donations from the Indonesian community, entrusted through Dompet Dhuafa, to directly reach the Palestinian people.
Previously, Dompet Dhuafa, in collaboration with local partners in Gaza, had distributed necessities for mothers, women, and children, and also established Dompet Dhuafa Public Kitchen producing 1,000 ready-to-eat food packages daily. Moreover, Dompet Dhuafa and IHA have also sent winter needs assistance (blankets, mattresses) totaling 6 tons via air route, in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
