JAKARTA — The forthcoming month of Ramadan 1445 Hijriah serves as a reminder of the importance of maintaining cleanliness and fostering a healthy environment. Cleanliness is essential in fulfilling religious duties, thus, the arrival of the holy month of Ramadan motivates Muslims to pay attention to personal and environmental cleanliness. Cleanliness imparts a profound spiritual dimension to worship, fostering a state of comfort, focus, and inner peace.
In a partnership with Dompet Dhuafa aimed at establishing a clean and healthy environment, SOS—a local Indonesian product and a flagship brand of Tempo Scan—has initiated a CSR program named #BaktiSOSial under the theme of “One Clean Step for Thousands of Smiles.” This initiative extends to at least 200 orphanages and nursing homes across 20 cities in Indonesia.

The #BaktiSOSial CSR activity is in line with SOS’s commitment to protect families, homes, and the surrounding environment through the adoption of clean and healthy living habits, safeguarding against harmful germs, viruses, and bacteria. So far, the #BaktiSOSial CSR program has successfully distributed over 80,000 cleaning products and facilitated cleaning campaigns in collaboration with the SOS Team, Dompet Dhuafa, and the residents of the facilities.
Since (19/12/2023), SOS and Dompet Dhuafa have been delivering donations of cleaning products and implementing Cleaning Actions at the Nurul Anwar Ulujami Foundation, Pesanggrahan, South Jakarta. Continuing until Saturday (3/2/2024), Dompet Dhuafa and SOS are extending their collaboration to propagate goodwill. Cleaning efforts have been undertaken in various orphanages and nursing homes, including the Cinta Yatim and Dhuafa Foundation in East Ciputat, Al Fajar Berseri Foundation in Bekasi, and Aisha Jena Muhammadiyah Orphanage PDM Bekasi City, with plans to expand to more facilities across Indonesia.

Yanti, the foster mother at Aisha Jena Muhammadiyah Orphanage PDM Bekasi City, noted that a clean environment is fundamental to the children’s well-being and the sanitation of the premises. It not only bolsters their health but also creates more conducive conditions for educational activities, worship, and other programs.
