BANTEN — Dompet Dhuafa through the Institute of Independence (IK) held a Security Training Program as part of the Paradaya Movement-a strategic collaboration between PT Paragon Corp and Forum Zakat (FOZ). A total of 23 selected participants attended the intensive training which took place at the Main Campus of the Institute of Independence, Karawaci, Banten, since Friday (25/10/2024). This program aims to empower the community through skills training in the security field.
Abdurrahman Usman, Director of the Institute of Independence, opened the event and hoped that Paradaya Movement would be an opportunity for participants to improve their competencies and open up job opportunities in the security sector.
“We believe this program will have a positive impact, not only for the participants, but also for the security industry in Indonesia. Participants will be equipped with technical skills that are relevant and needed today,” he said.
The eight-day training is fully supported by PT Elite Security by bringing in experienced instructors to develop a curriculum that includes handling emergency situations, using security equipment, and work ethics as a security officer. In addition, Polda Metro Jaya and Binmas Polda Metro Jaya also provided direct guidance to participants on security protocols.
Paradaya Movement provided relevant soft skills development, guided by the Institute of Independence Team to improve participants’ interpersonal competencies as professional security officers, so that they are able to adapt to the needs of the growing security industry and have great opportunities to work in the sector or develop their own businesses.
Launching Liputan6.com news on Saturday (2/11/2024), as of February 2024 the number of unemployed Indonesians fell to 7.2 million people, the lowest since 1997. However, challenges remain, especially regarding Indonesia’s unemployment rate, which is still the highest in ASEAN.
Through a partnership between Dompet Dhuafa, PT Paragon Corp, and FOZ, this program is expected to not only create new jobs, but also improve people’s lives by opening access to the skills needed in the world of work. The Security Program is proof of the commitment of the three institutions in supporting the reduction of unemployment and increasing the economic independence of the community. (Dompet Dhuafa)
