DEPOK, WEST JAVA — Still in the series of 30th anniversary of the birth of Dompet Dhuafa, on Friday (21/7/2023) Dompet Dhuafa held a talk show entitled Humanitalk at the FEB Auditorium of Universitas Indonesia.
This Humanitalk Special Edition for 3 decades carries the theme of “Vision of the Future of Indonesian Youth.” Hundreds of participants seemed so enthusiastic about listening to every presentation from the speakers who were present. They consist of young Indonesians, they are the school students to college students.
There were five talk sessions in the Humanitalk event filled by a number of cool speakers, including Ivan Ahda as CEO Maxima, Citra Widuri as LMI Director and Field Head of 4 FOZ, Brurce M. Mecca as Senior Analyst Climate Works, Khayrurijal as UTM Doctoral Candidate, and Novriantoni Kahar as ICRC Indonesia and Timor Leste. In addition, the event was also enlivened by musical performances from The Marge.

Opening the Humanitalk event, Prima Hadi Putra as Director of Communication and Technology delivered his speech. In line with the theme of Humanitalk that day, Putra invited all elements present to think about and realize the vision and mission that will be achieved within the next 30 years.
“After reflecting on what has been achieved at the age of 30, we also need to think about what we need to achieve in the next 30 years,” he said.
Speaking about the role of Indonesia’s young generation, Ivan Ahda tried to explain it in his session when presenting the material of “The Role of Youth and Indonesia’s Future Social Change.” In his presentation, Ivan explained that young people today are different from before. Now, they have the opportunity to see from different points of view.

When they get information, they will definitely not be easy to believe. They will think that the information that reaches their eyes is an assumption that may still be wrong. Instead of getting into conflict, they tend to promote dialogue.
“For us, it is very valuable to be able to convey ideas or opinions in open spaces like what Dompet Dhuafa does. So have we thought about what can we start with all these complexes,” he said.

In addition to material on the role of youth, four other materials were also presented interestingly by other speakers. Other materials presented included “Are There Still Future Philanthropic Institutions?”, then “The Future of Climate Action Finance”, then “The Future of the World Will Be More Ethical”, and finally “The Future of Humanity.” (Dompet Dhuafa/Muthohar)
