JAKARTA — In a corner of Jakarta, Paijah (53) felt the invaluable warmth of a Dompet Dhuafa Ramadan Parcel that she gratefully received. In each of the food-supporting ingredients that filled the package, she saw not only a bowl of rice or an egg, but also the kindness of the donors who had tucked care in each package.
Living in Lebak Bulus, South Jakarta, Paijah, as the breadwinner of her family, feels happy because in the midst of her loneliness, there are still people who care about her.
‘I would like to say alhamdulillah to all the donors, may everything be blessed, everyone be healthy, and I am happy to receive this aid,’ said Paijah.

Paijah (53) felt the priceless warmth of a Ramadan Parcel that she gratefully received.
When Dompet Dhuafa’s Community Service Agency (LPM) team approached her residence, Paijah welcomed them enthusiastically. In the small space she occupied, on Monday (18/3/2024), it was not just an ordinary day for Paijah, but a time when kindness came in the form of a Ramadan Parcel.
In that moment, Paijah’s gratitude and happiness overflowed, as if her small world in the corner of Lebak Bulus was brightened by the kindness that flowed from the hands of hope.
Alhamdulillah, Dompet Dhuafa has distributed Ramadan Parcels to the right hands. Furthermore, Paijah shared how difficult it is to live her daily life with physical limitations, because her right hand is no longer able to move as before. But #RamadanMendekatkan is able to carve a smile in the midst of difficulties, and strengthen the belief that in togetherness, every step of goodness will never be in vain.

‘It’s been 10 years since I had this physical disability. I used to be a trader with a lot of activities, but now I can’t anymore. I have tried many treatments, from free to paid ones, but there is still no cure,’ added Paijah, the corners of her eyes glistening.
In line with this, Hasan as Chairman of the Ramadan Committee of LPM Dompet Dhuafa said, Ramadan Parcels are expected to be useful and blessed for recipients in supporting their daily food needs during Ramadan.
The happiness on Paijah’s face is one of the many happiness felt by the beneficiaries of Dompet Dhuafa’s Ramadan Parcels in Jabodetabek. Therefore, let’s continue to distribute happiness in the holy month of Ramadan together with Dompet Dhuafa. (Dompet Dhuafa/LPM)
