Paradaya Movement Collaboration Invites Motorcycle Service Training Participants to Directly Face Business Challenges

BANTEN — Dompet Dhuafa through the Institute of Independence in collaboration with PT Paragon Corp launched Motorcycle Service Training as part of the Paradaya Movement. This activity was officially opened on September 24, 2024 at the Main Campus of Institut Kemandirian Karawaci, Banten, involving 11 selected participants who received intensive guidance from professional instructors.

The training lasted for two full months-September to November 2024-covering the strengthening of hard skills and soft skills. In the technical aspect, participants were taught motorcycle repair skills in detail, from basic theory to hands-on practice in the training workshop. Meanwhile, the strengthening of soft skills includes material on mental blocks, service excellence, effective communication, and business financial management, which aims to prepare participants to face the challenges of the world of work or business.

As part of the curriculum, the Institute of Independence presents Motor Service Training alumni who have successfully built businesses and worked professionally. In this session, alumni shared their experiences, tips for surviving in the industry, and strategies for achieving success.
During the training, participants were also invited to directly deal with customers through visits to the business workshop owned by the Institute of Independence. Finally, the participants participated in the Goes to Public activity, where they provided free motorcycle service to the surrounding community held on November 25 and 26, 2024 at the Umar Usman Business Campus.

After completing the intensive training, participants are required to join a one-month internship program. This program aims to strengthen their technical skills and increase their professionalism in the automotive field.
“We hope that this training will be able to create a professional workforce and independent entrepreneurs in the field of motorcycle service. Paradaya Movement is a tangible manifestation of Dompet Dhuafa and Paragon’s commitment to empowering the community,” said Mulyadi Saputra, Executive Director of I Great Edunesia Dompet Dhuafa.

Launching Liputan6.com news, Saturday (2/11/2024), as of February 2024 the number of unemployed Indonesians fell to 7.2 million people, the lowest since 1997. However, challenges remain, especially regarding Indonesia’s unemployment rate, which is still the highest in ASEAN.

With this program, Dompet Dhuafa and Paragon reaffirm their dedication in supporting the improvement of people’s quality of life through skills-based training. Hopefully, participants can utilize the knowledge gained to gain employment opportunities and open independent businesses in the automotive sector. (Dompet Dhuafa)
