JAKARTA — Dompet Dhuafa through the Integrated Healthy Homes Foundation (YRST) held a launch event for the “Infak Pengobatan Dhuafa” platform at the BJ Habibie Muamalat Tower Ballroom, Setiabudi, South Jakarta on Wednesday (28/2/2024).
Director of Medical Services of RST Dompet Dhuafa, drg. Rima Febrianti, MARS, said that until now there were 96.4 million or 36.4 percent of poor people who received the National Health Insurance (JKN) Contribution Assistance Recipient (PBI). Patients with long treatment will require costs of around 150 million rupiah, while the insurance used by patients can only cover around 60 million rupiah.
“Sometimes there are obstacles with limited medical equipment. The average poor patient does not want to be referred (to another hospital), because of the high concern of being asked for more money,” said drg. Rima.

In an effort to open access to health insurance to the poor, YRST collaborated with Bank Muamalat to launch the “Infak Pengobatan Dhuafa” platform. This platform is a movement to collect infaq funds, aiming to help the treatment of patients who do not have access to health insurance, such as the Health Insurance Organizing Agency (BPJS).
Assistance includes transportation, consumption, and accommodation during treatment at the hospital. In addition, the birth of this platform is also an effort to develop infrastructure related to the treatment of the poor, such as hospital renovations and the purchase of medical equipment.
Indra Falatehan as President Director of Bank Muamalat, which is a collaborator of YRST, said that donations through this platform use a house to house system management, namely donations using virtual accounts and QRIS.
“Bank Muamalat became the first bank to support this good movement, in the future there will be an expansion of cooperation. Donations can be made through Bank Muamalat m-banking,” he said.
Not only an online platform, Ismail A Said as the Chairman of YRST also launched a book entitled “Zero Capital Hospital”. This book is a medium to convey Dompet Dhuafa’s experiences in developing waqf-based or philanthropic hospitals.
“I wrote this book based on our daily experience in managing the hospital. There are still many poor people who do not have access to proper care. We will share this experience with donors. If Dompet Dhuafa can use waqf funds, Insha Allah we can use CSR funds or other social funds to help others,” Ismail explained to the audience.
In the book, Ismail A Said also wrote about Dompet Dhuafa’s experience in developing seven waqf-based hospitals that favor the poor. Of the seven hospitals, one of them received 5-star accreditation, while the other two received 4-star accreditation.
Present at the launching event, Ahmad Juwaini as Chairman of the Dompet Dhuafa Republika Foundation (YDDR) also expressed his gratitude for the launch of this dhuafa treatment platform.
“This is the most tangible support for the poor who want to get proper treatment,” he said.
