MAKASSAR, SOUTH SULAWESI — According to Hamas Ministry of Health, dozens of Palestinians, including children, continue to lose their lives every day due to the humanitarian conflict in the Gaza Strip. The number of casualties mentioned, 34,000 people in Gaza, since the beginning of the war, shows the escalation of the humanitarian impact that needs world attention.
Echoes of support for the Palestinian people continue to echo strongly from various parties, one of which comes from a well-known Indonesian musician, Pusakata, who also often expresses his solidarity in support of Palestine. Pusakata has consistently defended Palestine since the beginning of the Israeli attacks on Palestine in Gaza.
Through his act of kindness, Pusakata managed to move the hearts of local musicians in Makassar, as well as the wider community to take action.
This time, Pusakata and Dompet Dhuafa are collaborating with Makassar Alternative Nation, united with well-known musicians in the Sound of Humanity (SOH) event, voicing the spirit for Palestinian independence. This mini concert in support of Palestine will be held at D’Sultan Pool and Eatery, Tritura Complex, Tamangapa Raya 3, Makassar, on Thursday (25/4/2024). It will be a joint stage for music fans and humanitarian warriors.

Known by the stage name Pusakata, Mohammad Istiqamah Djamad or more familiarly Bang Is firmly conveyed a message to fans and the entire community to unhesitatingly take a stand in defense of Palestine. He confidently voiced his sincere views in support of Palestine.
Together with local Makassar musicians, such as Ilham Pamaru feat De Flow, Semut Merah, RDL, Teduh Bersinar, 2 Generasi, and Error X, Bang Is organized a strong and impactful action in defense of Palestine.
“The Palestinian issue is not a religious issue anymore. It’s a humanitarian issue, there are many human rights cases there. Among them, the right to worship is deprived. So we have to do something according to our portion in this issue. Because I think the weakest faith is to pray. Are we doing something weak all the time? It’s not that I as a public figure keep doing this. But we can also do something for our brothers and sisters in Palestine, anyone who comes (to the mini concert) can donate according to their abilities,” he added.
Through this event, Dompet Dhuafa is also trying to socialize awareness, especially for the people of Palestine. To this day, humanitarian tragedies continue to occur in Gaza. Dompet Dhuafa itself distributes aid to Palestine through several planned schemes.

One of them is cooperation with the government of the Republic of Indonesia to distribute aid. In addition, cooperation is also carried out with non-governmental organizations (NGOs) or local institutions, namely the Indonesia Humanitarian Alliance (IHA), as well as collaborating with local partners in Palestine.
In addition to the music concert, various other activities also enlivened the Sound of Humanity which was held from the afternoon until the turn of the day. Among them were Palestine Merchandise, Charity Donation, and tausiah.
Until now, Dompet Dhuafa continues to distribute food packages in the Gaza Strip. Dompet Dhuafa also provides evacuation and medical services, and also sends winter logistics packages with the Indonesian government.
“It is enough to be fully human to stand together and help Palestine. As our independence is incomplete without the independence of Palestine, so I invite all elements in Makassar in particular to join hands to donate the best for Palestine,” said Pandu H Satrio as Branch Manager of Dompet Dhuafa South Sulawesi.
