JAKARTA – Still in the excitement of Tarhib Ramadan 1446 H, Dompet Dhuafa ‘s Free Health Services (LKC) through the Health Emergency Response Team (RDK) initiated the Gedor (Blood Donor Movement) “Kerennya Gak Ada Obat” on Tuesday (12/2/2025).

Located at the Cordofa Stage Mosque, Dompet Dhuafa, Jakarta, this activity aims to always ensure the availability of blood for people in need and anticipate the lack of donors during the fasting month.

Before taking blood at Gedor Dompet Dhuafa, Muhammad Arif, one of the participants, also followed several stages such as checking blood pressure.

Gedor activities took place in three locations in Jabodetabek, one of which was at the Dompet Dhuafa Philanthropy Building, Pejaten. In addition, blood donation has also been held at the LKC Dompet Dhuafa Office, Ciputat, while another location will be held in the Dompet Dhuafa Madina Zone Area, Parung. Dompet Dhuafa collaborates with PMI South Tangerang City in the implementation of this activity.

“Hopefully, this activity can expand to other locations in 12 provinces where our branches are located. We want more people to donate, especially because the number of donors usually decreases during the fasting month. With a more massive movement before Ramadan, blood stocks can be maintained and help those in need,” said Putri from the Dompet Dhuafa Health Emergency Response Team.
