BEKASI, WEST JAVA – Dompet Dhuafa ‘s Cuma-Cuma Health Service (LKC) inaugurated the At-Tin Health Post in Wanasari Village, Cibitung, Bekasi, West Java on Wednesday (25/09/2024). This inauguration was enlivened by the presence of participants who were dominated by mothers.
At this inauguration, a number of activities were held in parallel, including healthy gymnastics, examination of non-communicable diseases (NCDs) and eye examinations. In addition, there was also the distribution of nutrition packages from the Mobile Kitchen (Darling) of Dompet Dhuafa’s Community Service Institution (LPM).
All participants looked enthusiastic following the inauguration of the At-Tin Healthy Post from start to finish. Present on this occasion, Ismail A. Said as Director of the Dompet Dhuafa Health Program, Yudho Pratikto, LKC Dompet Dhuafa Partner, representatives from sub-districts, villages and village officials.
In his speech Ismail explained the beginning of the establishment of LKC until 2001 which has its own building from waqf funds as a place to serve the health of the poor. In addition, he explained the three pillars of the LKC Dompet Dhuafa movement, namely the pillars of service, defense and empowerment.
“One of the indicators that we will handle here is maternal and child health, how we provide health services for mothers and children, we do preventive activities so that mothers and children do not get sick. Then how we will make classes for pregnant women, infants and toddlers, exclusive breastfeeding assistance. Then there will be a nutrition post, how mothers can create nutritious food easily and cheaply,” Ismail said.
“The next most important thing is to participate in reducing the stunting rate and for the community there will also be checks for non-communicable diseases,” Ismail added.
From RadarBekasi.id dated June 05, 2024, it is said that the stunting rate in Bekasi Regency has increased by four percent. The Acting Bekasi Regent, Dani Ramdan, revealed that the increase in the stunting rate was in the spotlight of the central government.
“The stunting problem is in the spotlight of the central government. Previously, we were able to reduce the stunting rate from 17 percent to 13 percent. But now it is starting to rise again to four percent,” said Dani.
After that Yudho Pratikto in his speech told about the pattern of healthy life in Medina in the era of the Prophet Muhammad. Where all people apply a healthy lifestyle so that no one is sick.
“Hopefully LKC in Wanasari can create a society like the people in the city of Medina in the era of the Prophet, namely maintaining the health of the people of Wanasari. Hopefully the blessings of the LKC team will always be given health, hopefully we can all coordinate with each other, help each other to keep this LKC can continue to be useful for the community,” Yudho concluded.
