“For the most part, the friends participating in IVD 2022 are DDV members who have held a movie with Tegar in various major cities in Indonesia. A very good opportunity, this time they can meet directly with the director to discuss movies and the lives of children with disabilities,” explained Fajar.
In this movie, Tegar is said to be very young, who is 10 years old and has to taste the bitterness of life. He only has one leg without hands.
Behind his difficult life, Tegar has a dream. He really wants to go to school like a child of his age. In addition, Tegar also wants to experience a normal life like having friends. Concern for his dreams came from those closest to him and others he had never met. This then raised his enthusiasm to pursue his dreams.

To the participants of IVD Camp 2022, Anggi advised to give space, opportunity, and make them not just objects but involved as subjects. Actually, children with disabilities have their advantages. Some are interested in science, logic, and even art. What they need is a good support system.
“What we can do is give space, give them a chance, make them more than just a display. But love the space and love the opportunity. The average of these disabled friends has advantages. Some are interested in science, logic, art, but all are capable because they have all adapted. We must be able to become a support system for them,” said Anggi. (Dompet Dhuafa / Muthohar)
