JAKARTA — “I have been around for more than ten years (giving zakat at Dompet Dhuafa). The member’s ID alone cannot be detected because it is an old member,” said Nita, a Dompet Dhuafa donor who uses the obligatory charity (Zakat) Pick-up Service to fulfil her wealthy and family obligatory charity (zakat).

Ahead of Eid al-Fitr 1444 H, Nita’s busy life as a housewife made her unable to come directly to the office or Dompet Dhuafa counter to pay her obligatory charity. Therefore, Nita uses the Dompet Dhuafa  Pick-up Service to visit her Rawa Barat, Kebayoran Baru residence. To the Dompet Dhuafa Team, Nita also explained why she chose this Service.

“Last year, when I had time, I immediately came to Pasar Minggu (office). But this time, my driver has been away (Eid holiday), and I also have much to do. In the past, there were many pick-ups here, especially in the past they used cash. Well, I tried to call for pick-up service, uh, it turned out to be possible. So, we just waited at home; it is easier, too,” said Nita.

Nita also issued money worth IDR 30 million to complete her obligations on Wednesday (19/4/23). In the Pick-up Service, Nita was guided by Muhammad Yatim as the Ziswaf Dompet Dhuafa Pick-up Team to hold the procession and prayer together. The Dompet Dhuafa’s Pick-up Service Team has also been equipped with supporting documents and EDC (Electronic Data Capture) to facilitate payments. In addition, Hari Raya gifts were also given to donor families as Dompet Dhuafa’s note of thank-you for entrusting their team.

Nita also talked about the beginning of her acquaintance with Dompet Dhuafa. Finally, she was steadily donating to this philanthropic institution.

“In the beginning, it was because my husband was looking for which one was about the same as our hearts. One of them found this was Dompet Dhuafa,” Nita explained.

“I am one of those who used to do a wealthy obligatory charity to Dompet Dhuafa. Because in my opinion, this has been a long time since I have been doing this through this institution and the results we can see, such as hospitals, schools, and others. Hopefully, in the future, it will be even better and more trustworthy,” said Nita.

Besides that, it turns out that Nita had also given a sacrificed animal in Dompet Dhuafa.

“I like that there is feedback, so I am always told where my sacrificial animals have been distributed,” said Nita.
