BOGOR, WEST JAVA — Ramadan is a month that Muslims around the world look forward to, not only because every day is full of blessings, but the atmosphere of gathering with family becomes very special in this month. Especially during iftar and suhoor with the family. SMART Ekselensia Indonesia students who participated in the Pulang Kampung service in Ramadan 1445 H also wanted to feel this atmosphere of togetherness.
SMART Ekselensia Indonesia is a free boarding school for junior and senior high school students established by Dompet Dhuafa in Parung, Bogor. This school is intended for outstanding male students who come from families with economic limitations from various regions in Indonesia. Every year, Dompet Dhuafa accepts 40 selected boys who have passed the selection process for new SMART students.
Homecoming for SMART students is a special moment. Because, this moment is only done once a year during their junior and senior high school education at SMART Ekselensia Indonesia. This year’s Pulang Kampung is even more special with the donation of souvenirs that they can bring and enjoy with their families, in the form of Lapis Bogor Sangkuriang (LBS) from PT Agrinesia Raya.

PT Agrinesia Raya, as a company that produces typical Indonesian food, donated 420 boxes of LBS to Dompet Dhuafa. The donation was given on the day of the students’ return, namely on March 31 and April 2, 2024 as souvenirs for students, teachers, and SMART dormitory coaches. Each student will bring 2 boxes of souvenirs, while teachers and dormitory coaches get 1 box of LBS.
“In the blessed month of Ramadan, we want to ensure that the joy and spirit of sharing can be felt by all, especially to SMART and e-Tahfizh Dompet Dhuafa students who will return home to meet their families,” said Windrio Indrasempurno, Finance Director of PT Agrinesia Raya.
“This donation is also one of the realizations of Agrinesia’s vision, which is to provide happiness in every moment of life. We hope that when students bring our product, Lapis Bogor Sangkuriang, they can enjoy happiness with their beloved families accompanied by delicious dishes from Lapis Bogor Sangkuriang,” Windrio continued.

Alhamdulillah, at the moment of Pulang Kampung they can enjoy precious time with loved ones accompanied by Lapis Bogor Sangkuriang. We hope this year’s Pulang Kampung will give a million impressions and meanings,” said Mulyadi Saputra, Director of GREAT Edunesia.

The collaboration between PT Agrinesia Raya and Dompet Dhuafa has been established since 2021 where PT Agrinesia Raya distributes corporate zakat every year through Dompet Dhuafa. Consistently, PT Agrinesia Raya chooses education and economic empowerment programs to distribute its zakat. Until now, PT Agrinesia Raya’s zakat has been channeled to various programs, including SMART and e-Tahfizh student education, revolving fund programs for MSMEs, freshwater fish farming empowerment programs, and chicken breeder empowerment.
