NORTH SUMATERA – Dompet Dhuafa North Sumatera Branch, known as Dompet Dhuafa Waspada, has again held the Sacrificial Animal Stocking Program (THK) in North Sumatra. In 2023, Dompet Dhuafa Waspada spreads sacrificial animals to North East Langkat’s coast, specifically in Jaring Halus Village to the mountainous area in Karo Regency on Saturday (1/7/2023).
This year, Dompet Dhuafa Waspada held the THK Program in six regencies and cities. Among them are Langkat, Serdang Bedagai, Deli Serdang, Medan, Binjai, and Karo. Of the six districts and cities, the THK Program was held in 13 sub-districts, and 13,480 people became beneficiaries.
Head of Dompet Dhuafa Waspada Branch, Sulaiman, said that the determination of the distribution of sacrificial points was carried out through a selection process.
“Dompet Dhuafa Waspada runs a selection mechanism for prospective recipients of sacrificial animals based on verified data and information. This selection is made to ensure that sacrificial animals reach those in need and deserve it,” he said.
During the distribution process, Dompet Dhuafa Waspada also aids in providing an understanding of how to make optimal use of sacrificial animals. Both in terms of cutting, processing, and distributing the meat to families and neighbours in need.
Not to forget, Sulaiman thanked all donors who entrusted their sacrificial animals to Dompet Dhuafa Waspada.
