SOUTH SOLOK, WEST SUMATERA – Nurul Bhakti Mosque in Jorong Lubuk Rasak, Nagari Persiapan, Southeast Lubuk Gadang, Sangir District, South Solok Regency, has become a mainstay, since its establishment in 1984 as a Musholla. Yes, even though at that time it was only 8×8 m2, made of wooden boards, and was in the forest. Then in 2015, the Musholla was restored into a Mosque and moved its location to Jorong Lubuk Rasak. Over the years, plans were made to build a wider place of worship measuring 16×16 m2.
“The initial dream of building a mosque was 8 (eight) years ago, but until now the progress is still like this, there is an increase little by little, but it is very slow due to circumstances. After facing 3 (three) processes, a large foundation was made first like this. The construction looks like it was abandoned. Now the congregation prays in this Emergency Mosque, “said Ustadz Izen as the Chairman of the Nurul Bhakti Mosque Management Jorong Lubuk Rasak.

“Our mosque is the center of worship for the residents here. Uniquely, residents work together to build because they also want to be able to do religious activities and worship together. Apart from money, some help with materials, there is also food for the workers. Friday prayers are still regular now, even though it is raining, we don’t want to leave this mosque even though it is under construction. We don’t want to leave it,” he added.
The administrators of the Nurul Bhakti Mosque in Lubuk Rasak Jorong are thinking about the next generation. Ust. Izen, every religious holiday, people flock to the Nurul Bhakti Mosque. Visiting directly to the Nurul Bhakti Mosque, the Dompet Dhuafa team again distributed the second phase of donations in the amount of Rp20,000,000, – (twenty million rupiah) on Wednesday (5/10/2022). Dompet Dhuafa Singgalang Branch Manager, Hadie Bandarian Syah, also said that the donation would be intended for the purchase of mosque construction materials.
