TURKEY — The Dompet Dhuafa humanitarian team which is included in the coordination of the BNPB team and the Emergency Medical Team (EMT) of Kemenkes RI has succeeded in setting up tents for the Health Crisis Center in Hatay, Turkey, on Thursday (16/2/2023).

Zainab Aqila, one of Dompet Dhuafa‘s health team, on Thursday (16/2/2023), reported from Turkey, that the team is currently in Hatay City, Turkey, which is an area affected by a fairly heavy earthquake. The tents that were built were used to activate medical services from Indonesia to residents affected by the 7.8 magnitude Turkey earthquake that occurred on Monday (6/2/2023).
“All the personnel of the team of doctors and the TNI worked together to set up dozens of tents for field hospitals and for personnel to live in,” she said.
The EMT, consisting of 119 personnel is a joint team from various organizations or institutions such as the Puskris of Kementerian Kesehatan, TNI, Polri, PAEI, PMI, MDMC, Dompet Dhuafa. The personnel division has been carried out according to the expertise of each EMT personnel. Mobile services also support field hospitals to reach sick people in refugee camps.
“This EMT is supported by personnel from various organizations or institutions such as the Puskris of the Ministry of Health, TNI, Polri, PAEI, PMI, MDMC, Dompet Dhuafa,” said The Head of the Indonesian Humanitarian Team, Bambang Surya Putra, in a release received by the editor, Wednesday (15/2/2023).

Type 2 EMT qualifications under the Crisis Center of the Ministry of Health (MoH) are supported by specialist doctors, general practitioners, nurses, pharmacists to soup kitchen staff. Equipment, equipment and medicines also support EMTs.
The location of the establishment of these tents as recommended by AFAD or the Turkey disaster management agency some time ago shortly after the new EMT team arrived in Turkey.
With the establishment of the Health Crisis Center Tent in Hatay, all Dompet Dhuafa medical personnel joined the EMT. Include dr. Sjarif Darmawan, Sp.B, as a surgeon from RS Rumah Sehat Terpadu Dompet Dhuafa.

“As of today, all our doctors (Dompet Dhuafa) have joined there (Hatay), including dr. Sjarif, the team of doctors who left with DMC (under the coordination of BNPB) has also docked to EMT,” Aqila wrote in reporting to Dompet Dhuafa Pusat.
