DEPOK, WEST JAVA — Happiness shone on the faces of dozens of orphans and poor people who were waiting for the arrival of the Dompet Dhuafa Team on Saturday (4/20/2024) morning. They were unable to contain their happiness to be able to stay in touch after Eid al-Fitr 1445 H.
Two weeks after Ramadan has come upon us, Duha Muslimwear remains committed to its good programs by collaborating with Dompet Dhuafa to hold sharing activities at the Alhayya Quran Orphanage and Pondok Tahfiz Al Quran (Alhayya Foundation), Depok. On this occasion, Duha Muslimwear and Dompet Dhuafa distributed 50 Kado School Kit packages and also provided compensation to orphans and poor people.
Each gift wrapped in an attractive parcel contains school supplies, such as bags, books, and stationery. This initiative not only aims to fulfill their practical needs, but also to inspire a high spirit of learning among these children.
The happiness was felt by Muhammad Alwi Mugni (12), who is currently in 5th grade. He revealed that the gifts given by Duha Muslimwear and Dompet Dhuafa were very useful to support his learning activities at school.
“Alwi is happy to get a gift. It contains bags, pens, and school supplies. I want to use all the items. The most I want to use are pens and rulers, because I have started drawing cubes (one of the materials in the Space Buildings chapter, Mathematics). Thank you Dompet Dhuafa and Duha Muslimwear, these items can be used for school, “said Alwi enthusiastically, while showing his gift to the Dompet Dhuafa Team.
But in the midst of his happiness, Alwi tried to hold back his tears when he talked about his family. Especially when talking about his mother who is sick, because of malpractice during treatment.

“He quit his job because he was sick. He said he gave the wrong medicine. Now he’s at home and hasn’t recovered. Before he was taken to the hospital, his eyes couldn’t see, he couldn’t open them, and his face was blackened because he was given the wrong medicine, so it was like that,” Alwi explained.
Although his heart was broken, Alwi emphasized that he will continue to pursue his dream of becoming a soldier.
Alhamdulillah, the collaboration between Dompet Dhuafa and Duha Muslimwear can bring happiness to Alwi and other children, and produce an extraordinary kindness. Because, every purchase of products from Duha Muslimwear, has included a donation of IDR 5,000 which is directly allocated to orphans and dhuafa children.
“We have permission to stay in touch, to give a little sustenance from the kindness of Duha Muslimwear and its customers. Duha Muslimwear is one of the men’s Muslim clothing brands, so in the month of Ramadan, they held a campaign that every time they purchase their products, the customers have donated. Because every purchase of Duha Muslimwear products, IDR 5,000 is donated to the Kado Program for Orphans and Dhuafa. Hopefully all the younger siblings will always have their steps smoothly in the search for knowledge here, “said Dian Sukma Riany as the Dompet Dhuafa Partnership Team.

Through this event, Ustaz Abi Redi Gunawan as the Founder, Caregiver, and Management of the Alhayya Foundation stated that this was not the first time Dompet Dhuafa was present at the Alhayya Foundation. Especially today, when the children’s happiness overflowed after returning home and receiving these most beautiful gifts. He said, God willing, Dompet Dhuafa is the best choice for donors to channel their assistance, because of the extraordinary trust that has been given to Dompet Dhuafa.
“This is our gratitude to Allah Swt which is connected with Dompet Dhuafa being the best intermediary for donors. With the help of Dompet Dhuafa, it really helps us, of course the children are more enthusiastic about school with new bags and new stationery, this is a support that psychologically helps, replacing the role of parents who are no longer there, “said Redi.
