BIMA, EAST NUSA TENGGARA — For Muslims, Hari Raya Kurban or Eid al-Adha is one of the moments to express gratitude to Allah Almighty while sharing happiness with others. Thousands of kindnesses are spread to our needy brothers and sisters at this precious moment.
With the same spirit, Dompet Dhuafa also strives to spread more goodness by presenting the Sacrificial Animal Stocking Program (THK), which has been around since 1994. In 2023, THK Dompet Dhuafa will carry the theme “One Sacrifice Many Goodness” to provide more comprehensive sacrificial meat benefits for those living in remote areas.
Because of THK’s broad usefulness, the band The Rain and artist and presenter Nycta Gina also sacrificed through Dompet Dhuafa. The Rain, his fans, and Nycta Gina collaborated to make #SatuKurbanBanyakKebaikan a reality with Dompet Dhuafa.

The Sacrifice of The Rain also has a unique story and idea. Before finally deciding to sacrifice a cow divided into seven, through his Instagram account, The Rain announced that they would invite one of their fans to sacrifice together. The Rain fans also welcomed this idea, nicknamed The Rain Keepers, until the ‘Kurban The Rain with Fans’ was finally realized.
Sacrifices from The Rain and Fans and Nycta Gina were distributed in Sambori Lama Village and Sambori Baru Village, Bima, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB). Sambori Village is nicknamed the “Land above the Clouds” because it is located at an altitude of 700 meters above sea level at the top of Mount Lambitu.
People in this region mostly rarely consume meat. They usually eat only with rice and moringa leaf side dishes. Some even eat only side dishes of salt and chilli puree.

“It’s great to get sacrificial meat (because) rarely eat meat, usually only rice and vegetables, no others in it,” said Ibu Marifah (80).
Hopefully, with the Dompet Dhuafa Sacrificial Animal Stocking Program (THK), more and more people will enjoy consuming sacrificial meat.
