TTU, EAST NUSA TENGGARA — “Beta (I) converted to Islam in the 60s. Then in 1984, we entrusted this land to build the Nurul Mubin Wini Mosque,” said Usman (71), one of the beneficiaries of Dompet Dhuafa Sacrificial Animal Stocking (THK) in Wini Village, North Insana, North Central Timor (TTU).
Nurul Mubin Mosque is the only mosque in Wini. Residents who are far away, guests who pass (between countries), and guests from outside the city, even Jakarta, stop and pray here, the mosque of the waqf land of the Usman family. As the meaning of the name implies, Nurul Mubin Mosque is real wisdom in Wini.

Usman also admitted that he was happy and grateful for the development of mosque activities and the number of sacrificial animals becoming with the help of THK Dompet Dhuafa. He did not expect the Nurul Mubin Mosque, which stands on his family’s waqf land, to grow.
“I’m just one message, please take care and treat this tree still growing as a protector and fruiting. May Muslims everywhere join the mosque,” said Usman.

The echo of #SatuKurbanBanyakKebaikan became the right moment for slaughtering sacrificial animals centred on the Nurul Mubin Wini Mosque. Ustaz Abidin Rahmat Umar, one of the Corps Dai Dompet Dhuafa (Cordofa) in Wini from Kefa, was the butcher of the sacrificial slaughter that day.
“Generally, Wini people are fishermen, migrants from the Bugis (Wajo Tribe) who migrated to the coastal areas of Timor Island long ago. Alhamdulillah, there are THK, so there are more sacrifices this time than in previous years,” he said. (Dompet Dhuafa/Dhika Prabowo)
