TOKYO, JAPAN — Ahead of the holy month of Ramadan 1445 H, Dai Ambassador Dompet Dhuafa Japan assignment finally arrived in Sakura Country. There are four preachers assigned to Japan, namely Dr. Cecep Sobar Rachmat, S.Thi, M.Pd.I, Dr. Lukman Sumarna, Lc, .S.Si, M.A.Pd, Ahmad Muqorobin, S.Hi, M.A, Ph.D, and Dr. Cutra Sari, S.Sos.I, M.Ag. The four Dai Ambassadors will preach in Japan during the holy month of Ramadan 1445 H and will only return to Indonesia after the month of Shawwal. This da’wah safari activity carries one of Dompet Dhuafa’s Ramadan 1445 H missions in the Ramadan Closer program.
Having been greeted by snow when landing at Narita Airport Tokyo on Friday (8/3/2024) morning local time, the preachers finally visited one of Dompet Dhuafa’s strategic partners in Tokyo, Japan, namely the Ainul Yaqeen Foundation. The four preachers were warmly received at the home of the Chairperson of the Ainul Yaqeen Foundation, Mrs. Gina.
“Every year, we are happy to receive Dompet Dhuafa Ambassadors (assignments) Japan. The Muslims here really miss the touch of religion, and the presence of these preachers is certainly an oasis for our thirst for Islam, “said Mrs. Gina when welcoming the Dai Ambassador Dompet Dhuafa.
Gina herself is an Indonesian citizen who has lived in Tokyo for 40 years. Every year, she makes her residence a base camp for the residence of Dompet Dhuafa’s Dai Ambassadors who are assigned to preach in Japan. Not only that, some preachers from Indonesia have also lived and stayed at his house.
Ach Firman Wahyudi as General Manager of Dompet Dhuafa Japan said, “Mrs. Gina through the Ainul Yaqeen Foundation which is a strategic partner of Dompet Dhuafa Japan has contributed a lot to helping fellow Muslims in Japan. In fact, her life can be said to be devoted to Islam. Dompet Dhuafa Japan is very grateful to have a very loyal strategic partner like her. Every year the Ainul Yaqeen congregation also channel their Ziswaf at Dompet Dhuafa Japan and help us to spread Islam.”
Implementing the Prophet’s Sunnah, Mrs. Gina on behalf of Ainul Yaqeen Foundation hosted the Dai Ambassadors very well and invited them to enjoy a meal at the Chinese Muslim Restaurant in Tokyo. There, the preachers tasted halal Chinese oriental cuisine.
On that occasion, Mrs. Gina said that the current stretch of Islam in Japan is very encouraging. The reason is, Muslims in Sakuta Country are enthusiastic in studying Islam. They try to increase their understanding of their religion, despite many limitations and busy work routines.

So far, the activities of the Ainul Yaqeen Foundation have always been held at Mrs. Gina’s house. Every week, various studies are held. Even during Ramadan, for a whole month, Muslims in Japan, especially in Tokyo and its surroundings, perform Tarawih prayers together, followed by Islamic study activities. Of course, all of these activities are also supported by Dompet Dhuafa Japan through its various programs which greatly help various da’wah activities and Islamic education in Tokyo.
Gina also hopes that one day she and the Ainul Yaqeen Foundation and Dompet Dhuafa and other stakeholders can build a mosque in Tokyo to accommodate the needs of Muslims there.
“We hope to be able to present a mosque here. This mosque will hopefully be utilized by all Muslims, regardless of sect, school, nation, or country of origin,” said Gina.
She realized this strong desire after feeling the limitations of her house, which is now no longer enough to accommodate more worshippers who enthusiastically attend religious activities at her residence.
Finally, Gina expressed her hope for the Dompet Dhuafa Dai Ambassadors. Hopefully the dai can carry out the da’wah safari in Japan smoothly, so that they can greet many Muslims, especially Indonesian Muslims in Sakura Country. (Dompet Dhuafa)
