The first performance with a humanitarian theme, which raised the genocide in the Land of the Prophets, successfully moved the audience. Through the stories of the people of Gaza, Palestine, they felt the pain, suffering and anxiety that have become part of their daily lives.

Through this musical theater, Dompet Dhuafa echoes the events of October 7, 2023, but also calls on all levels of society to continue to voice support for Palestine. On the night of the performance, thousands of eyes witnessed how Dompet Dhuafa together with the government, good partners, MPZ, volunteers, KOL and influencers united to alleviate the suffering of Palestine. With hearts full of empathy, they stood together, bringing hope in the midst of deep sadness.

Since the beginning of the performance, Palestine was portrayed as peaceful, reflecting the peacefulness of Indonesia. When the bombing started, the audience was brought into the middle of the conflict, feeling as if they were there. The strong performance, profound poetry, and expressive dance succeeded in conveying the message very clearly.

Farhana and Salwa appreciated the show that voicing the truth can also be done through art, and they felt reenergized to continue voicing for Palestine.

“I really felt like I was carried away by the atmosphere, at the beginning Hasan and Abdel’s characters made a strong impression on me, and I’m really proud that finally Indonesian artists have the courage to speak out, more and more people are speaking out. Palestine looks devastated, but behind it, it can raise the spirit of the people outside of it, in fact they provide a lot of lessons to fight,” said Salwa.

“I feel guilty because the news about Palestine is getting less and less frequent, even on social media. Alhamdulillah, today I was reminded that the struggle is not over yet, and I was revived, especially when I was given the feeling of being in the middle of the war, so I could imagine the struggle of the Palestinians, so I really felt the fear, the sadness, and I couldn’t stop crying,” continued Farhana.
