BOGOR, WEST JAVA – Dompet Dhuafa, together with its digital partners, has succeeded in raising donations to help people who need help. On Friday (7/2/2025), Dompet Dhuafa distributed wheelchairs to three beneficiaries in Bogor Regency, West Java. The beneficiaries are Fatimah (62), Marsiti (80), and Elom (76), who have difficulty walking due to various health conditions.
Through the digital platform, Dompet Dhuafa continues to expand the reach of the invitation to share with the community, allowing anyone to donate easily anytime and anywhere. This innovation further strengthens Dompet Dhuafa’s efforts in spreading benefits to those in need.
The Dompet Dhuafa team directly visited the homes of each beneficiary to hand over wheelchair assistance. A look of happiness appeared on the faces of the beneficiaries and their families when receiving this assistance. One of the beneficiaries, Fatimah, expressed her gratitude and happiness.
“I am very grateful for this assistance. It has been almost a year since I had difficulty moving because I fell in a ditch. With this wheelchair, I can move more freely and return to doing some of my daily activities. Thank you to Dompet Dhuafa and the donors who have cared about us,” Fatimah said with teary eyes.

The distribution of this assistance has gone through a selection process and coordination with the local Social Service at the sub-district office. Based on recommendations and considerations from related parties, Fatimah, Marsiti, and Elom were deemed worthy of receiving this wheelchair assistance.
Marsiti (80) also has difficulty walking due to her legs suddenly feeling stiff for no apparent reason. During this time, she had to be helped by her children to move around. With the wheelchair, she can now be more independent in doing activities inside the house.
“I didn’t expect to receive this assistance. Previously, I could only sit in place and depended on my children to move. Alhamdulillah, now I can move more freely with this wheelchair,” said Marsiti emotionally.
Meanwhile, Elom (76) is paralyzed on his left leg due to a recent stroke. The wheelchair she received will greatly assist her mobility in living her daily life.
“I can only be grateful and thankful. This wheelchair means a lot to me. May this kindness be rewarded by Allah Swt,” said Elom with a trembling voice.
