DEPOK — During Ramadan 1444 H, Dompet Dhuafa collaborated with various school partners to organize “Ramadan Ceria”. This event is a collaboration to educate children to pay zakat, infaq, and sadaqah. On Friday (14/4/2023), one of the school partners working with Dompet Dhuafa, namely Avicenna Cinere Elementary School, held “Ramadan Ceria” in Cinere, Depok.
The series of “Ramadan Ceria” activities consisted of Zakat Day, Cheerful Storytelling, exciting games, and of course sharing activities. Zakat Day held at school hopes to educate children to recognize zakat and understand how to pay it. Especially Zakat Fitrah which must be paid in the month of Ramadan.
“Alhamdulillah, the Zakat Day event, cheerful storytelling by Kak Nia and exciting games by Mr. Zhofar went well. The children were very happy in participating in the series of Ramadan activities,” said Yudha Andilla as Dompet Dhuafa’s Retail Fundraising Manager.
Furthermore, Rini as the Principal said that this activity was the first time carried out by Avicenna Cinere Elementary School in collaboration with Dompet Dhuafa.
“Avicenna Elementary School is the first time to collaborate with Dompet Dhuafa. Starting with storytelling activities, then continued with exciting games which are certainly useful. Alhamdulillah, this year we have a program to channel children’s mandate, one of which is through this Ramadan Ceria, which is a gift for our friends who yesterday experienced an earthquake in Cianjur. Prior to this activity, the children collected their toys to be given to our friends in Cianjur. In addition, this activity also aims to motivate children to want to share and can also add to their religious activities,” Rini explained.
Through this activity, SD Avicenna Cinere also managed to collect donations for the School Kit Program which were then channeled through Dompet Dhuafa, with the total donations collected reaching Rp9,787,200 (nine million seven hundred eighty-seven thousand two hundred rupiah).

“Alhamdulillah, this year’s Ramadan we can collaborate with kindness face-to-face, after being hindered by the pandemic. We are very grateful to the younger siblings, stakeholders, and teachers who have entrusted and trusted us to channel kindness programs for friends in Cianjur. Hopefully the results of your good deeds will be blessed and become a motivation for other school friends,” added Yudha Andilla.
According to Rini, the donation came from the school’s Friday Blessing alms.
“Every Friday, the children have a Friday Blessing or Charity Savings activity. Because we routinely show the money collected and where it is donated, thank God they are motivated to share,” Rini explained.
Yudha Andilla also shared his hopes regarding this collaboration.
“Hopefully, not only this time, but we can collaborate for good in the next activity and so on. Hopefully this Ramadan activity will certainly be blessed to be useful and have a good impact on the children of Avicenna Cinere Elementary School,” concluded Yudha Andilla. (Dompet Dhuafa/NN Syaima)
