BOGOR — On Tuesday (6/6/2023), in a series of Field Work Lectures (KKL) of the Da’wah Management Study Program (MD) of the Faculty of Ushuluddin, Adab and Da’wah UIN KH Abdurrahman Wahid Pekalongan visited the Madina Dompet Dhuafa Zone in Parung, Bogor. During this visit, UIN Pekalongan had the same spirit as Dompet Dhuafa in preparing qualified human resources in Islamic economics. Mainly to provide direct experience to students to understand the management of zakat, infak, alms, and waqf (Ziswaf).
A total of 66 Da’wah Management study program students with 8 lecturers and staff also studied with Dompet Dhuafa to understand the practice of Ziswaf management. This activity is carried out as a co-curricular activity to meet the competency requirements of Da’wah Management study program students and improve the quality of students related to Da’wah Management.
In line to hold the MPA, Haryo Mojopahit, General Manager of Communication and Strategic Alliance of Dompet Dhuafa, welcomed the visit of KKL Students of the Da’wah Management Study Program UIN Pekalongan. According to him, on this occasion, Dompet Dhuafa will display the complete vision of an institution.

“Today we meet, hopefully it will be pleasing while we are here because today we learn many things about the management of zakat, infak, alms, and waqf. We hope to knit a stronger friendship with friends from UIN Pekalongan, and we can share a little about Ziswaf’s management activities here,” Haryo said in his speech.
The activity, which was led directly by the Head of the Da’wah Management Study Program, Dr. Khoirul Basyar, was part of the Da’wah Management curriculum, as well as to complement the material that had been obtained previously.
“We from UIN GUSDUR are happy to be able to meet here for KKL Da’wah Management Study Program. Thank you very much for the opportunity to be able to MPA here. In addition to theory in the classroom, students need to get hands-on experience seeing practice in the field. Therefore, this visit is important in enriching and deepening material for students, “said Dr. Khoirul Basyar.

As a philanthropic institution that will turn 30 years old, Dompet Dhuafa also supports various activities in the community, one of which is this KKL. On this occasion, Haryo explained more about the concept of philanthropreneurship applied by Dompet Dhuafa. Not only that, on this occasion, the 66 students also learned about Ziswaf management in terms of philanthropy for collection and distribution, as well as how Dompet Dhuafa is open and transparent to the public through digitalization.
The material presented includes:
- Material of “Penghimpunan dan Pemberdayaan dana ziswaf di Dompet Dhuafa (Collection and Empowerment of ziswaf funds in Dompet Dhuafa)” by Utammi Sri Lestari as SO Partnership ZIS;
- Material “Pengelolaan Program Kawasan Pemberdayaan Ziswaf (Management of the Ziswaf Empowerment Area Program)” by Dini Khoirunnisa as Flagship Officer;
- Material “Perkembangan Teknologi melalui Digitalisasi dan Perkembangan Data (“Technology Development through Digitalization and Data Development)” by Dian Mulyadi as IT General Manager;
- Materi “Program Layanan Sosial (Social Service Program)” presented by M. Awaludin as Head of Dompet Dhuafa Community Service Institution;
- Drg. Rima Febrianti, MARS, MH, CPHR, FISQua as Director of Rumah Sehat Terpadu Dompet Dhuafa.
Students are also invited to tour the Madina Zone Area (Kawasan Zona Madina), an integrated area managed by Dompet Dhuafa. In the Madina Zone, there are several Dompet Dhuafa empowerment programs in the field of education, namely the Human Development Institute (LPI), the health sector (Rumah Sehat Terpadu Dompet Dhuafa Hospital), the economic sector (empowering farmers and breeders around Parung), and the Jampang Eduwisata Village.
Ibnu Haikal, a 6th-semester student of UIN GUSDUR who participated in this activity, admitted that he was pleased because he could develop the knowledge of Da’wah Management and could play an active role in the implementation of community strengthening and empowerment based on Ziswaf funds.
