Kunjungan NAMA Foundation ke Dompet Dhuafa

JAKARTA — For Dompet Dhuafa and NAMA Foundation, partnerships are not only about presence, resources, funds, or money spent. Everything in the partnership is about change as a result of sharing ideas, changing people who in this case are beneficiaries, changing expertise, and complementing each other from existing resources. Thus, the partnership between Dompet Dhuafa and NAMA Foundation continues to this day to jointly empower the poor, underprivileged and poor people. The two recently held a meeting to strengthen the collaborationAksi that has been established since five years ago.

The collaboration brought the top management of NAMA Foundation, Malaysia, on Thursday (9/5/2024), to the Dompet Dhuafa office in Jakarta, Indonesia. The visit was received directly by Parni Hadi as the Initiator and Chairperson of the Dompet Dhuafa Board of Trustees, Ahmad Juwaini as Chairperson of the Dompet Dhuafa Board of Directors, along with other top management of Dompet Dhuafa. “Welcome to Dompet Dhuafa and thank you for visiting our office. Hopefully today continues to bring benefits to all. Because benefit is everything we hope for and do together. Later we will also sign the MoU. In principle, we welcome and once again say welcome. Hopefully it will be fun and provide opportunities, so that we can undergo introductions and cooperation well,” said Ahmad Juwaini when welcoming the NAMA Foundation management group, Thursday (9/5/2024).

Continuing Ahmad Juwaini, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Dompet Dhuafa, Parni Hadi warmly welcomed the arrival of the management of the NAMA Foundation, Malaysia.

“Welcome to DD, we are proud to call it DD or Dignity and Devotion. God willing, all of you will gain dignity, and all of you will become increasingly devout people. Thank you my brothers and sisters for coming. May all my brothers and sisters, all my children, who are present here get what they are looking for and can enjoy the food here. Because there are three types of food, namely first food for the mouth as energy, second food to fight for what we get at this time, and third food for our souls. DD is an organization that has many lines of work, we are an amil zakat institution, we are also a waqf institution,” said Parni Hadi.

Then, Parni also stated that in general Dompet Dhuafa received grants or gifts like the NAMA Foundation gave and of course Dompet Dhuafa was only a middle way or intermediary for this kindness. Then Dompet Dhuafa certainly also provides grants or assistance to the poor, the poor who deserve help. One of them is through the donation funds collected by the NAMA Foundation. The trust of the partners is certainly the responsibility of the empowerment implementers that Dompet Dhuafa continues to uphold.

“So if we talk about channeling donations, of course we take the path of empowering underprivileged people. Because when we don’t empower the poor they will still be poor. So, now we need courage, we need action to empower them. It can be through the Prophetic Sociotechnopreneurship path. However, all of that must be present in our hearts that are so close to getting grace from Allah,” added Parni Hadi.

Representing the NAMA Foundation management group, DR Saleh Mubarak Saleh Bazead as Chief Executive Officer said that it was an honor to be invited to visit the Dompet Dhuafa office. He revealed that Dompet Dhuafa and NAMA Foundation are brothers and sisters who are in line to collaborate for empowerment. So, the management of the NAMA Foundation is grateful for the opportunity this time to discuss work, programs, and anything that can be shared and solved for the happiness of the poor and poor people.

“Now we are far away from the work site, of course to be able to meet face to face to discuss all the partnerships that have been established. I believe that partnerships are not limited to resources, funds or money spent. It is also about changing ideas, changing people, changing skills, and complementing them. So that, it can mobilize worship amaliyah with the right values, transforming the rights of beneficiaries with professionalism, efficiency, and so on. Anyone who is poor has the same rights as other poor people. However, we need to think about how to transform them with care in this worship. Then today we need to talk about how NAMA and DD can bring our resources to the right capacity. Whether in the capacity of da’wah programs, education, economic empowerment, and we can try it,” explained DR Saleh.

Dr. Saleh also added that he and the NAMA Foundation group were happy for this meeting. The collaboration started five years ago with Dompet Dhuafa during the earthquake and liquefaction recovery by building a school in Palu. Then the cooperation continues to this day. In fact, in the future NAMA and Dompet Dhuafa will start a scholarship program as an empowerment step and other further program efforts. So, today’s discussion and sharing is a means to build a team to work together.

At the meeting, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was also signed to run joint programs in education and community development. Hopefully this partnership will continue to last and can help more beneficiaries. (Dompet Dhuafa)
