LAMPUNG — Through corporate grant funds, PT Bukit Asam Tbk Tarahan Port Unit supports the Maggotin Program by Dompet Dhuafa Lampung in Karang Anyar, South Lampung.
The Maggotin group in Karang Anyar has cultivated maggots integrated with poultry farming and freshwater fish cultivation.
The Maggotin group, supported by Dompet Dhuafa Lampung, received 10,000 catfish fry, which were then distributed to four representative group members.
The symbolic handover and release of the fish took place on Tuesday (23/1/2024) at the Maggotin Farm in Karang Anyar, South Lampung. Paiman (40), one of the benefit recipients of this program, expressed his gratitude for the catfish fry assistance.

“This is very helpful. We also have limited funds to buy fish fry, especially catfish,” said Paiman.
Meanwhile, PT Bukit Asam Tbk Tarahan Port Unit warmly welcomed the Maggotin Program by Dompet Dhuafa Lampung.
“This program is a positive activity because it relates to waste reduction. God willing, we are ready to support this program and hope it can be replicated elsewhere,” said Ajis Purnomo, the AVP of HR, General Affairs, Finance, and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).
