EAST JAVA — Welcoming Eid al-Fitr 1445 H/2024 M, Dompet Dhuafa opened Mudik Post services spread across Java Island. One of the Mudik Post services was established at the Abnais Sabil Mosque, Bulusan Village, Kalipuro District, Banyuwangi Regency on Friday (4/5/2024). Abnais Sabil Mosque is a very strategic area, because it is located right in front of Ketapang Harbor, which is a crowded area for travelers.
This service for travelers is a collaborative program between Dompet Dhuafa’s organ and branch networks. These include the Disaster Management Center (DMC), Free Health Services (LKC), Community Service Institution (LPM), Institute of Independence (IK), and Dompet Dhuafa Branches in Banten, West Java, Central Java, and East Java. The theme for this program in Ramadan 1445 H is “Family Friendly”. In fact, many problems are often faced by travelers, ranging from health, logistics, and resting places.
Mochamad Syaiban as the person in charge of Jawa Pos Mudik Dompet Dhuafa in Banyuwangi said, Ketapang Port is the only alternative that connects Java Island and Bali Island. Thus, many travelers from Java and Bali Island who want to return to their hometowns. This route is very crowded every time the homecoming season comes.

“Dompet Dhuafa hopes that this Mudik Post will be able to help travelers so that they can travel safely and safely to their hometowns,” said Syaiban.
At the Banyuwangi Mudik Post, Dompet Dhuafa provides various services. Among them are free health examination services consisting of checking blood sugar, checking blood pressure. There are also nutrition packages and hygiene kits for travelers. In addition, there is also a warm post that provides warm food and drinks for travelers who stop by. Free meals for suhoor and iftar are also available for travelers. With this service, travelers can still fast even while traveling.
Then, there is Kids Corner which is a special service for children. Children can play and learn leisurely in a safe and comfortable manner here, as well as a cure for boredom from a long journey to their hometown.
Not only that, as a form of collaboration, Dompet Dhuafa collaborates with blind friends to provide free massage services to travelers. Dompet Dhuafa hopes that the presence of this free massage service will be able to relieve the fatigue and aches experienced by travelers on the way.

One of the beneficiaries of this Mudik Post in Banyuwangi are Arif and Chandra. They are travelers from Denpasar who want to return to their hometown in Semarang, Central Java.
