SOUTH TANGERANG — On Tuesday (14/3/2023), Perguruan Islam Al Syukro organized a Tabligh Akbar which is held every year by Persatuan Orang Tua Siswa or POS (Students’ Parents Association) Al Syukro. It is just that in previous years, the Tabligh Akbar event was delayed due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
This series of activities was also attended by Bobby Manulang as General Manager (GM) of Dompet Dhuafa’s Donor and Retail Waqf Services, and KH. Abdullah Gymnastiar who led the Zuhr prayer together and delivered a tausiyah (Islamic lecture).
Cici Kurniasih as Director of Al Syukro Islamic College said that this activity aimed to welcome the holy month of Ramadan, as well as campaigning for the waqf of Al Syukro Mosque which has begun and is in the early stages of the construction process.
“The purpose of this event is to welcome the holy month of Ramadan, this is indeed a routine program for cooperation between parents and schools. The targets of this event are teachers, employees, parents of students and local residents. The next goal is to campaign for waqf for the Al Syukro mosque,” said Cici.
In addition, the Chairman of Tabligh Akbar Al Syukro Committee, Syafrini said that this activity was also a forum for students’ creativity, and efforts to build friendship with the people around the school.
“We want to showcase the students’ creativity. Incidentally, our students also collaborated to become MCs, then from all levels, from kindergarten to high school also give appreciation to this event, ranging from singing, playing angklung, to band performance, “said Syafrini, who is familiarly called Bunda Rini.
“Hopefully, with the implementation of this event, we can make waqf donations for the mosque, and we can build friendship between all people around the school,” she continued.
The construction of the Al Syukro Mosque itself is one part of efforts to improve worship and learning facilities. Thus, there is still needed, the active role of stakeholders from all parties, so that the construction of this mosque can run sustainably.

This Tabligh Akbar activity also becomes one of the ways to campaign for the waqf of Al Syukro Mosque to the society. This is in line with what was conveyed by Mastari, Chairman of the Construction of Al Syukro Mosque in his speech.
“I hope that the society, parents, and everyone know that this school is currently building a mosque. Hopefully the mosque that we are building can be completed quickly, so that it can be used for the students to worship, and we will use it as a means of Islamic syiar and to support learning activities, “said Mastari.
“Hopefully, by the existence of this event, the society will also know more about the construction of the Al Syukro Mosque, and they are enthusiastic to participate in giving waqf at our school,” he concluded.
In his speech, Bobby Manulang said that the construction of the Al Syukro Mosque would continue to be supervised by Dompet Dhuafa.
“I from Dompet Dhuafa will also continue to monitor the construction of this mosque, in syaa Allah, until it is completed,” said the GM of Dompet Dhuafa’s Donor and Retail Waqf Services.
