CILEGON, BANTEN — Eid al-Fitr 1445 AH is just days away. Not wanting to lose the momentum of goodness, Dompet Dhuafa still continues to strive so that Muslims who undergo homecoming feel comfortable and safe getting to their hometowns. This is realised by Dompet Dhuafa by providing Family Friendly Mudik Posts, one of which is located at Toyomerto Gas Station, Cilegon, Banten.
On Monday (8/4/2024), it was observed that Dompet Dhuafa Cilegon Mudik Post provided Motorbike Service, Health Services, Massage Corner, Haircut and Kids Corner, Breastfeeding Room and Mobile Kitchen (Darling). All of these facilities can be enjoyed without any fees.

One of the people in charge of the Dompet Dhuafa Cilegon Mudik Post, Yulianti, said that this homecoming service post began to be crowded with visitors at breakfasting time until dawn. Especially in the middle of the night around 12:00 to 02:00 in the morning. The average traveller comes from Tangerang, Cikarang, and Kuningan who will head to Merak Port, Cilegon, Banten.
“Yesterday it was so crowded that we set up tents and provided tarpaulins. Last night the Kids Corner was crowded because the parents of the children were resting, they (the children) were playing. Some of them just found out that there is a homecoming service post from Dompet Dhuafa,” said the woman who is active in Dompet Dhuafa’s Human Development Institute (LPI).
Yulianti also summarised the total users of the Dompet Dhuafa Cilegon Mudik Post facilities. Among them are Health Services for 12 people, Kids Corner for 18 children, and Motorbike Service for 17 motorbikes. Not only that, continued Yuli, that day 50 nutrition packages (milk and eggs) were distributed, as well as 100 food packages for suhoor.
“The plan is to distribute 100 packages of takjil and iftar food later. Tomorrow is the last time Dompet Dhuafa Mudik Post operates,” said Yuli.

That afternoon, Member of the Board of Trustees of the Dompet Dhuafa Republika Foundation (YDDR), Yudi Latif, also visited the Dompet Dhuafa Cilegon Mudik Post. After going around to see all the facilities there, Yudi said that the existence of the post was very functional. Especially for travellers who have limitations in travelling to their destination. While resting, they can enjoy a variety of free services.
“This post is very functional, because they provide many facilities needed by travellers. Hopefully, it will be useful for people who go home with all their limitations,” concluded Yudi.

The Cilegon Homecoming Post opened on Friday (5/4/2024) and will stop operating on Wednesday (10/4/2024) in the morning. Outside Cilegon, in order to welcome the enthusiasm of the homecoming community, Dompet Dhuafa has opened six other homecoming posts ahead of this Eid.
The homecoming service posts for the community are located at Pulo Gebang Terminal, North Jakarta; Kampung Rambutan Terminal, East Jakarta; Toyomerto Gas Station, Cilegon; Jami’ Al-Mahdiyyin Mosque, Nagreg; At-Taqwa Ajibarang Mosque, Banyumas; Abnais Sabil Mosque, Banyuwangi. (Dompet Dhuafa)
